Gardai in Coolock are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Belcamp Grove, Priorswood, this afternoon at approximately 3.45pm.
A 32 year old male received gunshot injuries when a lone male on a bicycle approached him as he was leaving his house. The male on the bicycle then shot the 32 year old male in the front garden of the house. The gunman is believed to have been wearing a hooded top and have come from the direction of the Link road.
The injured male was taken to Beaumont Hospital with injuries described as non life threatening. The gunman made good his escape.
Garda have preserved the scene for a technical examination.
