Gardaí have charged a man, 36 years, in connection with the investigation into the death of Maria O’Brien, which occurred on the grounds of St. Otteran’s Hospital, Waterford , yesterday evening, Friday 5th September 2014.

The man remains in Garda custody and is due to appear before court tomorrow, Sunday 7th September 2014, (venue and time to be confirmed).
