Firearms recovered and male arrested, in Dublin on the 4/9/14

Gardaí in Ronanstown have recovered two handguns (ballistic examination pending) and arrested a male following a search operation in west Dublin on the 4th September 2014.

The discovery was made at approximately 18.30hrs when Gardaí searched a 36-year-old male at Newlands Road, Lucan. A small amount of cocaine (pending analysis) was also seized.
 

The male was arrested and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Ronanstown Garda Station. (He can be detained for up to 72 hours.)
