As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Leixlip / Celbridge area Gardai seized cannabis plants yesterday.
Gardai from Celbridge assisted by Gardai from Leixlip and Kilcock carried out a planned search of a house in Crodaun Forest Park, Celbridge yesterday afternoon. During the search they discovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €62,000 (pending analysis).
A male in his 60’s was arrested at the scene and was detained under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Leixlip Garda Station.
The male is scheduled to appear before, Court No 1, Blanchardstown District Court this morning charged in connection with this seizure.
