Gardai in Laytown wish to appeal for witnesses to a serious collision at the Eastham Road in Bettystown, Co. Meath on the 8th of October.
At approximately 3.45pm a 13 year old boy was seriously injured after being struck by a car while crossing the Eastham Road in Bettystown. The driver of the car was uninjured. This incident occurred outside the entrance to the Wellesly Manor estate. The boy was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda but was transferred to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Gardaí in Laytown are grateful to the public for their assistance to date and to the witnesses who have come forward.
