Gardaí have seized a quantity of drugs and arrested a man following an operation in Santry, Dublin 9 this afternoon, the 15th October 2014.
As part of an ongoing operation Gardaí form the Drugs Unit attached to Ballymun Garda Station searched a house in the Oldtown Avenue area of Santry. During the course of the search they discovered a quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value, subject to analysis, of €500,000.
A man in his 40's was arrested at the scene and he is detained at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. He can be detained for up to seven days.
