As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs, An Garda Síochána have seized drugs and made two arrests.
Gardai from Finglas assisted by the Garda Dog Unit carried out a planned search of a house in Berryfield Drive, Finglas, Dublin 11 yesterday morning at approximately 10.30am. Cannabis herb and cocaine (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €63,000 was seized along with an amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.
A male and female in their 30’s were arrested at the scene and detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Finglas Garda Station.
The male is scheduled to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning at 10.30am charged in connection with the seizure. The female was released late last night without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
