Gardaí at Buncrana are investigating a fatal house fire which occurred at Carnmalin, Malin Head, County Donegal shortly after midnight on Saturday 1st November 2014.
Emergency services responded to a call at this location. The body of a male in his 40’s was recovered from the house, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified. A post mortem is to be arranged. The body remains at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
There was serious damage caused to the house. The scene remains preserved pending a Garda technical examination. Investigations are continuing.
