Gardaí at Tallaght have charged a 17 year old male this afternoon, Wednesday 12th November 2014.
It is in connection with an investigation into an aggravated burglary which occurred at a house in the Belfry area, Citywest, Dublin, yesterday morning, Tuesday 11th November 2014 at approximately 7.50am.
The male is due to appear before the 4.30pm sitting of the Dublin District Court, Criminal Courts of Justice, 12th November 2014. He was arrested yesterday and detained at Tallaght Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred at a house in the Belfry area, Citywest, Dublin, this morning, Tuesday 11th November 2014 at approximately 7.50am.
Five men, in possession of knives, gained entry to the house. They threatened and assaulted a woman, 33 years, who was the sole occupant of the house at the time of the incident. She did not require medical assistance.
A substantial amount of cash was taken during the burglary. The men fled the scene in a car taken from the house. The car was later recovered in the Glenshane area, Tallaght and has been preserved for technical examination.
In a follow up search a 17 year old male was arrested in connection with this investigation. He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Investigations are ongoing.
