Gardaí in Tralee, Co Kerry are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Manor West , Tralee at approximately 6.30pm this evening (Tuesday 18th November 2014).
An 60 year old female pedestrian was fatally injured when she was struck by a car at the above location. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has been removed to Kerry General Hospital. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
