Gardaí from Drogheda Garda station have arrested 14 people in the past 48 hours as part of an investigation targeting the sale and supply of heroin, cannabis herb and other controlled drugs in the Drogheda area.
The arrests follow a four month covert operation aimed at dismantling drug distribution networks in Drogheda and involved Gardaí from Drogheda supported by members of the Garda National Drugs Unit.
Those arrested during the course of the investigation include thirteen males and one female ranging in age from 17 to 48 years. They are expected to appear before Drogheda District Court tomorrow morning, 28th November 2014, at 10.30am charged in connection with the investigation.
