Gardai have named the male fatally injured on Cooley Road on the 4th of May as 39 year old Christopher Zambra.
The post mortem has been completed and the results passed to the investigation team. The investigation is ongoing including house to house enquiries and the review of CCTV.
Gardai wish to renew their appeal to any person who was on Cooley Road between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and may have seen anything unusual, suspicious or the shooting itself to contact them. In addition anyone who may have seen the Nissan Qashqui drive into Benmadigan Road where it was then set on fire is asked to contact the incident room at Sundrive Road Garda Station on 01-6666600, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
