Gardai in Mountjoy Garda station are investigating a firearms incident that occurred at Rutland Cottages, Dublin 1 early this morning.
At approximately 3.40am a lone male approached two males as they walked near Rutland Cottages. The lone male discharged a firearm at one of the males injuring his leg. The injured 20 year old male was taken to the Mater hospital with injuries described as not life threatening. The second male was uninjured.
