Firearm recovered & arrest in Dundalk, Louth on the 7/5/14

Gardaí at Dundalk searched a house in the Riverside area of Dundalk yesterday evening (Wednesday 7th May 2014).

During the course of this search a loaded firearm and assorted ammunition were recovered.
 

A 25 year old man was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Dundalk Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
 

Investigations are ongoing.
