As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs officers from the Garda National Drug Unit have seized cannabis and arrested a male during a joint operation with officers from Revenue's Customs Service.
A part of a planned joint operation late yesterday morning Gardai and Revenue officers seized cannabis herb (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €480,000 in a premises at Larrix Street, Duleek, Co. Meath.
A 24 year male was arrested at the scene and detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Drogheda Garda Station.
The 24 year old male is scheduled to appear before Dundalk District Court this morning at 10.30am charged in connection with this seizure.
