In an operation lead by Gardaí based at Baltinglass Garda station and supported by Gardaí from Carlow, Kildare and Wicklow, Regional Support Units from the Eastern and South Eastern regions and the Garda Dog Unit, Gardaí today 5th May 2014 arrested four men and seized a quantity of drug.
As part of a intelligence led operation in the Wicklow/Kildare area Gardaí carried out searches at six locations. Four men in their 20s were arrested and cocaine and cannabis with a street value, subject to analysis, of €20,000 was seizes.
The men are detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Enniscorthy, Bray, Athy, and Carlow stations and can be detained for up to twenty four hours.
