Gardaí have arrested a male following an incident on North Great Georges Street, Dublin, on the 6th May 2014.
At approximately 11pm Gardaí received reports of a burglary in progress at a flat on North Great Georges Street. On arrival the discovered a male armed with a knife inside the flat. Following a brief standoff the male was disarmed and arrested. No one was injured during the incident and the residents of the flat were not present at the time.
The male (aged 29) was taken to Store St Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The investigation is ongoing.
