Shooting incident in Coolock, Dublin on the 21/3/14

Gardaí in Coolock are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in Donaghmede, Dublin this morning (21/3/2014).

At approximately 9 a.m. a male aged 30's sustained a gunshot wound during an incident on Holywell Ave, Donaghmede.  It is believed he was approached by a lone gunman who left the scene on foot.  The male has been taken by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital. Gardaí are at the scene which is preserved pending a technical examination.
