Gardai have seized a significant quantity of controlled drugs and arrested a man in Dublin yesterday 7th March 2014.
As a result of an intelligence lead operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin Region, Gardaí searched a number of premises in the Coolock area on the afternoon of 7th March 2014. The searches were carried out by Gardaí from Coolock Drugs Unit as well as local uniformed Gardaí.
During the course of the searches Gardaí seizured a quantity of cannabis herb with an estimated street value subject to analysis of €2,500,000. A man in his early 40s was arrested and is detained at Coolock Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. The man can be detained for up to seven days.
