Gardaí at Thurles Co Tipperary are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Two-Mile-Borris (near its junction for Thurles) at approximately 2pm today (3/3/14)
An elderly female driver was fatally injured when the car she was driving hit a fence at the above location. A female passenger was injured.(injuries are not thought to be life threatening)
The body of the deceased has been removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
This section of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
