Gardaí at Buncrana Co Donegal are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision in which a 13yr old boy (Pedestrian) has died. The incident occurred at Ballymacarry, Buncrana Co Donegal on the main Buncrana to Carndonagh Rd at approximately 10.30pm last night (13/3/14)
The 13 year old boy was struck by a car at the above location. A male pedestrian in his late 50's was also injured in the incident (his injuries are not believed to be life threatening). He was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene and also removed to Letterkenny General Hospital. A Post Mortem examination will take place later today.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Examination.
