An investigation is underway following a fatal house fire in Co. Sligo on the 28th March 2014.
At approximately 9.20pm Gardaí and fire services were called to the scene of a fire in a house at White Strand View, Aylesbury Park in Sligo town. It is believed the fire broke out in the upstairs of the house. A 34-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was removed to Sligo Regional Hospital for a post mortem examination. Two other occupants in the house at the time (both male aged 18 years and 3 years) were uninjured.
The scene is preserved for a technical examination and the Coroner has been notified.
