Gardai in Cabra investigating the death of a male who was discovered in an unconscious state on Fassaugh Avenue, Cabra on the 18th March 2014 have charged a male 22yrs (not 23yrs) in connection with the incident.
He will appear before Court No 2 Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street on the 20th March 2014 at 10.30am.

The 25 year old male who had been detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Blanchardstown Garda Station has been released without charge this afternoon and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The 23 year old male remains in custody at Finglas Garda Station.

At approximately 7.40am this morning a call was received concerning a male on the ground outside a shop on Fassaugh Ave, Cabra.
Emergency services attended to the man at the scene who displayed trauma to the upper body area. This man was taken to the Mater Hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead at approximately 8.30am.
The scene was immediately sealed off for a full technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist was notified.
The State Pathologist, Dr. Marie Cassidy, is scheduled to commence a post mortem at 2pm today in the City Morgue. We await the results of the post mortem to determine the nature and direction of the investigation.
A Garda Family Liaison Officer has been appointed and is dealing with the family of the deceases.
We will not be naming the 21 year old deceases at this stage.
A 23 year old male was arrested this morning and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Finglas Garda Station. In addition shortly after midday today a second male, 25 years old, was arrested and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Gardai investigating the incident wish to appeal to anyone that may have seen anything unusual or suspicious between 6am and 8am this morning on Fassaugh Avenue, near the shops. In particular Gardai wish to speak to a taxi driver who dropped off a number of people near the Centra shop on Fassaugh Avenue early this morning. We would also like to speak to a number of people who stopped to render assistance to the deceased this morning.
