At approximately 3.10am on Saturday 1st March 2014, two males entered a house on Old Cabra Road. Present in the house were three adults and two young children.
The two intruders used cable ties to tie the hands of two of the adults, they were threatened with physical violence. The raiders left the house with a quantity of cash. Nobody was physically injured during the incident.
Gardai at the Bridewell are seeking the assistance of the public, in particular Gardai are interested in speaking to anyone who was in the vicinity of two areas between 02.30 and 04.30 on Saturday 1 March; the old J J Reid’s garage on Old Cabra Road and between the Topaz garage and Cabra Cross on the New Cabra Road and saw any unusual or suspicious activity.
A description of the culprits; one is between 5’ 8” and 5’10”, thin build and wearing a black woolly hat. He wore a navy jacket and khaki coloured combat trousers. The second is 5’ 11” approx and larger in build than the other male and also wore a black woolly hat. He was wearing navy combat style trousers. Both males spoke with Dublin accents.
