Gardai in Ballyfermot investigating a shooting incident at Croftwood Gardens, Ballyfermot, on June 13th 2014 have appealed for the person or persons involved in the incident to come forward.
The victim of the shooting, a six year old boy, remains in a stable condition and Gardai have appointed a Family Liaison Officer to the boy’s family.
Gardai do not believe the child was the intended target of the shooting and are following a definite line of enquiry in relation to the shooting.
A senior investigating officer has been appointed to this incident. Scenes are being technically examined by the Technical Bureau and extensive house-to-house enquires are being undertaken.
