Gardai in Waterford investigating the ongoing intelligence-led operation into organised criminal activity in the Waterford area have one man in custody this morning .
During the course of the week a total of twelve persons were arrested and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at various Garda Stations in the area. Eleven persons have now been released without charged and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai at Waterford have arrested a further 4 people, 3 males and a female, this morning and this afternoon as part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation into organised criminal activity in the Waterford area.
They are detained at Waterford and Tramore Garda Stations under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
Seven people previously arrested, have been released without charge. There is a total of 5 people currently in Garda custody.
There have been a total of 12 people arrested to date in relation to this operation.

Gardaí at Waterford have this morning, arrested a further two people, as part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation into organised criminal activity in the Waterford area.
The man (32 years) and woman (21 years) are both detained at Dungarvan Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
Two of the people (one male and one female) arrested yesterday 17th June, 2014 in connection with this investigation were released without charge late last night and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí at Waterford have this morning, Tuesday 17th June 2014, arrested six people, 3 males, 3 females, mid 20's - mid 50's, as part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation into organised criminal activity in the Waterford area.
They are detained at various Garda Stations in the Waterford Division under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
The arrests follow on from searches carried out on 3rd June 2014 by Gardaí based in Waterford Division, assisted by Officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau, Regional Support Units, Organised Crime Unit, Air Support Unit and Garda Dog Unit.
