Gardaí at Castleisland Co Kerry are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred three miles from Scartaglen at approximately 11.25pm last night (Sunday 15th June 2014)
A car being driven by a 20 year old female left the road and collided with a ditch, a 14 year old female front seat passenger was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The 20 year old driver and a 18 month infant (female)were taken to Tralee General Hospital where their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. (no other persons involved) .
The road has been closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision examination.
