A 21 year old male is scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Bray District Court tonight at 8pm charged in connection with the death of a woman in her 50’s at a house in Bray.

Gardaí in Bray are investigating as murder the death of a woman aged in her 50's following the discovery of the body at a house in Bray, Co. Wicklow on the 27th June 2014.
Preliminary results of a post-mortem examination carried out by the Deputy State Pathologist Dr. Curtis at St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown, have been furnished to the investigating team, details of which are not being published for operational reasons. Investigating Gardaí have confirmed that the woman died in violent circumstances.
An incident room has been established at Bray Garda Station and a Garda family liaison officer has been appointed in the case. A technical and forensic examination of the scene is ongoing and investigating Gardaí are continuing to detain a 21-year-old male at Bray Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 as part of the investigation.

Gardaí in Bray investigating the discovery of the body of a woman (aged 50 years) at a house on Southern Cross Road in Bray, this morning 27th June 2014 have made an arrest.
A 21 year old man was arrested this morning 27th June, 2014 at approximatley 11a.m. and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Bray Garda Station.
There will be no media briefing at this time.

Gardaí in Bray are investigating the circumstances following the discovery of the body of a woman (aged 50 years) at a house on Southern Cross Road in Bray, this morning 27th June 2014.
The body of the woman was discovered at approximately 1.30a.m. when Gardai were alerted to the incident. The body remains at scene. The house has been sealed off pending a full Garda technical examination.
The State Pathologist has been notified.
