Gardaí arrested a male and recovered a motor car following incidents in Roscommon and Dublin on the 29th July 2014.
At approximately 7.15pm a car was taken during an incident on Castle St. in Roscommon town. The car was observed at approximately 9.30pm travelling on the N4 near Palmerstown by Gardaí attached to the Dublin Regional Traffic Division. The car failed to stop for Gardaí and was intercepted a short time later on St. Johns Road West. A 21-year-old male was arrested in Heuston Station by Gardaí following a foot pursuit.
The male was taken to Kilmainham Garda Station where he was later released on bail. He is expected to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court next month charged in connection with the incidents.
The investigation is ongoing.
