The man appeared before the Dublin District Court, Criminal Courts of Justice, this evening, Tuesday 22nd July 2014 where he was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday 29th July 2014 at 10.30am
Gardaí from the National Drugs Unit have charged a 55 year old male, arrested yesterday, Monday 21st July 2014 and detained at Coolock Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 following searches in the Kinsealy area, County Dublin.

Following an intelligence led operation by members of the Garda National Drugs Unit a number of searches were carried out yesterday (21/07/014).
A substantial amount of cash was recovered and a small amount of controlled drugs seized.
The searches were carried out in the Kinsealy area of north Dublin. During the course of the search Euro and Sterling currency with a value of up to €300,000 was recovered together with small quantities of Cocaine and Ecstasy (subject to analysis)
A 55 year old man has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Coolock Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 –Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are continuing.
