Gardai in Macroom are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Knockyrourke, Stuake, Co. Cork at approximately 8.45am this morning.
A male in his 70’s was fatally injured when his car collided with a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Cork University Hospital. He was the driver and sole occupant of the car.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
