Gardai in Kilmainham are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Heuston Station, Dublin 8 at approximately 4.20pm this afternoon.
A female pedestrian (no age available) was fatally injured when an articulated lorry collided with her. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has been removed to the City Morgue.
The road into Heuston Station near Victoria Quay was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened.
