Gardaí at Monaghan are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Coolcollid, Glaslough, County Monaghan, between the hours of 6 p.m. on 3rd July, 2014 and 5am on 4th July, 2014.
A 70 year old man suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle he was driving left the road. He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where a post mortem will be conducted.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. This has been completed and the road has reopened.
