As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Longford area, Gardai from the Roscommon/Longford Drug unit assisted by Gardai from Granard searched a house at Dalystown, Granard on the 14th July 2014.
During the course of the search Gardai discovered 118 cannabis plants (subject to analysis) with an approximate street value of €94,000 and one kilo of cannabis herb (subject to analysis) with an approximate street value of €20,000.
Four males (28, 29, 33 & 33 years) were arrested and brought to Roscommon, Longford and Granard Garda stations where they were detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
All four were charged in connection with the seizure and will appear before Longford District Court at 10.30am on the 15th July 2014.
