Gardai in Waterford investigating the robbery at a shop in Cheekpoint, Waterford on the 23rd January 2014 arrested 3 males (18, 28 and 36yrs) in Waterford on the 24th January 2014.
The three males were detained under the provision of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
They were charged on the afternoon of the 25th January and will be appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court at 9pm this evening.
The robbery occurred shortly before noon on the 23rd January when three males entered the shop with a knife and what is believed to be a firearm, threatened staff and fled the scene with a small sum of cash.
