Gardai in Thomastown are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R712 at the railway bridge near Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny at approximately 4pm this evening.
The female driver and sole occupant who was in her early 60’s was fatally injured when her car collided with a railway bridge. She was taken to St Lukes Hospital in Kilkenny where she was pronounced dead.
This section of road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened.
