Gardai have seized drugs and made two arrests following a search operation in Dublin this afternoon (21/1/2014).
Heroin with an estimated street value of €150,000 (pending analysis) was seized when Gardai attached to the Terenure Drugs Unit searched a flat in the Rathmines area. A male and a female, both aged in their 20s, were arrested during the operation.
They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Terenure Garda Station. (They can be held for up to 7-days)
The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
