Discharge of firearm at occupied house in Ennis, Clare on the 1/1/14

Gardaí at Ennis are investigating an incident which occurred at Childers road, Cloughleigh, Ennis, on 1st January 2014 at approximately 5am. Shots were fired at a house, which was occupied at the time.

No persons were injured during the incident.

One male, 46 years, was arrested in connection with this investigation and detained at Ennis Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939-'98. He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Investigations are ongoing.
