A 20 year old male is scheduled to appear at The Criminal Courts of Justice Number 2, tomorrow morning charged in relation to the death of Dale Creighton following a serious assault on Saint Dominics Road, Tallaght.
Gardai investigating the death have arrested three further males in their early 20’s this evening.
A 27 year male who had been detained was released earlier tonight without charge.
There have been 8 arrests to date in relation to this investigation – currently there is one male in custody scheduled to appear in court in the morning, in addition there are 4 currently in custody in various Garda Stations in the South Dublin area under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. 2 have also appeared in Court today and 1 was released without charge earlier tonight.

The 20 year old man that was serious assaulted on Saint Dominics Road, Tallaght at approximately 4am on 1st January 2014 has died this afternoon as a result of the injuries he received.
Two men (27 & 23 years) have been arrested this afternoon and are currently detained at Tallaght & Rathfarnham Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The man arrested late last night still remains in Garda custody.

Gardaí at Tallaght investigating the serious assault which occurred on Saint Dominics Road, at approximately 4am on 1st January 2014 have charged a man and woman that were in custody in relation to the incident.
The man, 23 years and the woman 20 years will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning Thursday 2nd January, 2014 at 10.30a.m.
A second man, 20 years was arrested late last night and is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardai wish to appeal to anyone who may have been in a fast food restaurant in the vicinity of the Square from around 2am and who may have witnessed the incident or who can assist with the investigation to contact them at 01- 6666000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí are investigating the serious assault of a male, 20 years, which occurred at a pedestrian bridge, Priorsgate, Saint Dominic’s road/N81, Tallaght, on 1st January 2014 at approximately 4am.
The injured party suffered serious injuries as a result of this assault which was carried out by a number of suspects. He was taken from the scene to the Adelaide & Meath Hospital, Tallaght and later transferred to Beaumount Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A male, 23 years and a female, 20 years, were arrested, in connection with this investigation and are currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
