Gardaí investigating the murder of 64-year-old Thomas (Toddy) Dooley at a house in Edenderry, Co. Offaly, on 16th February 2014 have arrested a third man.
A 24 year old male was arrested in Celbridge, Co. Kildare shortly before 5pm this evening.
He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Portlaoise Garda Station.
There are currently three in custody in relation to this murder investigation.

The 19 year old man was arrested this afternoon 26th February in Edenderry, Co. Offaly and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Birr Garda Station. He may be detained for up to twenty four hours.
The 19 year old man arrested this morning remains in custody at Tullamore Garda Station. This is the second arrest to date.

The 19 year old man was arrested this morning 26th February in Edenderry, Co. Offaly and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Tullamore Garda Station. He may be detained for up to twenty four hours.
The body of Mr Dooley was discovered when Gardai were called to his house at Sister Senan Court Edenderry. He had sustained injuries to his upper body was pronounced dead at the scene.
