Firearm recovered and male arrested in Co. Donegal on the 17/2/14

As part of an ongoing investigation Gardai carried out a search at a house in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, this evening (17/2/2014).

During the search a firearm (rifle) was recovered.  A male aged in his 40's was arrested at the scene.  He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Ballyshannon Garda Station.  (He can be held for up to 72 hours)
