Gardai in Cahirciveen, Co Kerry are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Spunkane, Waterville on the 4th February 2014.
The collision between a car and a 90 year old female pedestrian occurred at approximately 8.40pm, on a small bye-rd just off the N70 (Cahirciveen to Waterville Road) in Waterville. The pedestrian was seriously injured but pronounced dead at the scene. She was removed to the morgue at Tralee General Hospital. The female driver (22yrs) of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination but has since re-opened.
