As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kildare area Gardai have seized drugs and arrested two males following a search of a house in Co. Kildare last night.
At approximately 9pm Gardai from Kildare and Newbridge conducted a planned search of a house in School Lane, Suncroft, The Curragh. A grow house was discovered with cannabis plants at various stages of growth with an estimated street value of up to €164,000 (pending analysis).
Two males, 27 and 29 year old, were arrested at the scene and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Newbridge Garda Station.
