Witnesses Sought - Collision on the Birr to Tullamore Road, Offaly on the 23/12/14.
Shortly after 5pm on Tuesday, the 23rd December 2014 a female pedestrian in her 70's was knocked down as she crossed the main Birr to Tullamore Road close to Loughnane's Topaz Garage on the N52. The woman was struck by a rigid lorry and was attended at the scene by passersby.
The injured woman was taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore and subsequently transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where she remains in a critical condition.
Gardaí at Birr are investigating the collision and appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time to contact them at Birr Garda Station on 057-9169700 or at any Garda Station
