Gardai in Coolock are investigating a serious road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the Malahide Road, Coolock on the 17th December 2014.
The collision between a dark coloured van and a six year old female pedestrian occurred at approx. 7.45pm. The six year old girl was taken to Temple Street Hospital where her condition is described as serious. The collision occurred at the pedestrian crossing on the inbound lane city side of the Darndale roundabout. The van (which is described as an old dark coloured van possibly green) failed to remain at the scene and continued driving towards the city.
