Gardai in Cappamore are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Doon, Co Limerick on the 18th December 2014.
The collision occurred at Cooga Cross on the main Doon to Cappamore Rd at approximately 3.30pm between a car and a truck. The male driver (sole occupant) aged 28 years was seriously injured in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene, his body has been removed to the mortuary at Limerick Regional Hospital for a post mortem. No other person was injured in this collision.
The road is closed to traffic to facilitate a Garda forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.
