Drugs seizure and arrests in Blanchardstown, Dublin on the 11/12/14

As part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region, Gardaí from Crumlin seized cannabis herb with an estimated value of €100,000, pending analysis, following the planned search of a premises in Coolmine, Dublin 15.

A man, 24 years, and a woman, 23 years, were arrested and detained at Sundrive Road Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Both have since been released from Garda custody without charge and files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
