Court Appearance Cork St CIT Robbery

A man in his 40s will appear at Dublin District Court in the CCJ this afternoon at 4.30pm charged in relation to a cash in transit robbery on Cork St, Dublin 8 at approx 7.40am on the 19th Dec 2014.

  
A number of men threatened staff and demanded cash. A member of the CIT staff received minor injuries and received medical treatment at scene.
 
Gardai were alerted to the incident and arrested a man a short distance away. A sum of money and a firearm were recovered.The man was detained at Kevin St Garda station under the provisions of section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
