A 40 year old male is scheduled to appear before Kilcock District Court this morning at 10.30am charged in connection with the aggravated burglary in Athy yesterday.
The other two males detained were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí at Athy Kildare are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred at a hotel on the Dublin Road, Athy at approximately 5am this morning (Monday 15th December 2014)
Four masked male raiders entered the hotel at 5am this morning; they proceeded to tie up two members of staff and ransacked the reception area and hotel offices. It is believed the raiders were armed with hammers. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the incident.
The raiders left the hotel shortly after 7am in a red Peugeot 206 which was stolen from the car park of the hotel.
At approximately 7.50am a car was reported to be on fire near the exit to Kill near Goffs on the M7 motorway, this car is also believed to have been involved in the earlier incident.
In a follow up operation Gardaí arrested three men (41yrs, 40yrs& 28yrs) in Kill, Co Kildare in connection with the aggravated burglary. All three men are detained at Naas Garda Station.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for information. They are particularly anxious to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident at the hotel or who saw anything suspicious on the M7 where the burnt out car was located to contact Naas Garda Station on 045-884300, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
