Gardaí in Mayfield are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on Thomas Davis Street in the Blackpool area of Cork city, on the 6th August 2014.
At approximately 21.50hrs a 12-year old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on Thomas Davis Street. He was taken by ambulance to the Mercy University Hospital. The vehicle involved in the incident failed to remain at the scene.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out and the road has since reopened to traffic.
